 Whenever I look at Google Docs, I find myself increasingly impressed by its capabilities. After looking over into our class ebook's section on Google Docs, I couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement knowing I had discovered a tool that could simplify many of my future goals. With graduation just next year, I have many goals I want to achieve. These more immediate goals include planning a trip to Mexico and a possible wedding. Mastering budgeting skills is going to be a critical skill to make this happen, and Google Sheets may be the tool I use to save my sanity along the way.

If you already have a Gmail account, you have Google Docs and access to many technology tools that can benefit you. It's well worth exploring and familiarizing yourself with all that Google offers. 

To access Google Sheets, click on the three dots in the upper right-hand corner of your Google browser window. Then, scroll down and choose the "Sheets" option from the menu.

You can browse various pre-made options or create your own sheet from scratch. The pre-made options and incredible tools for organizing information are incredibly convenient.

Our class E-book is a great resource, and I will be holding onto it even after this class ends. I can relate to the confusion or frustration often accompanying learning to use a new tool. It's all too easy to revert to familiar methods, even outdated ones. However, keeping an open mind to new ideas enables us to uncover more efficient and enjoyable approaches to tasks that may initially seem daunting or stressful. Having something like our class ebook helps alleviate initial confusion when opening a new program for the first time.

2. Choose Your Platform: Decide which platform you'd like to use, Grammarly, and download/install it.
3. Integrate Grammarly with Your Writing: Once installed, Grammarly seamlessly integrates with your writing process. Copy and paste your text into Grammarly using the web or desktop app. If you're using a browser extension, Grammarly will automatically check your writing as you type in text fields on websites.
4. Start Writing: Whether you're working on an email, an essay, a report, or any other type of document, begin typing as you normally would. In real-time, Grammarly will automatically start checking your text for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style issues.

The Power of Microsoft Copilot

Microsoft Co-pilot is an impressive AI tool that can be used for many things. Its capacity to answer questions and fulfill requests within a chat interface can simplify finding the information one seeks. Co-pilot helps users generate images, create travel plans, create a workout routine, provide cooking assistance, and much more.

My boyfriend loves creating amusing or quirky images using the AI art feature, and his go-to platform for this is Microsoft Bing Co-pilot. I have never used anything besides Google Chrome unless I had to, so I was not familiar with Bing or Copilot, but when I logged in, it was fun to click around and create images or plans.

I began by experimenting with some images. This was my first attempt at creating any AI-generated images; needless to say, the possibilities are endless. This tool can be used for recreational or practical purposes, from crafting logos to having fun. For my first image, I created an image inspired by Spring.

Co-pilot offers more than just image generation; it functions similarly to any other search engine but with an AI "assistant" seamlessly integrated. If you're logged into any Microsoft Bing account, you'll find it readily available for personalized searches and planning assistance. I was surprised I didn't start using it sooner, as it provided tailored meal plan ideas that fit my needs. Additionally, it offered detailed information on a vacation I'm planning post-graduation. Using this tool saved me time in thinking of a proper meal plan and made it clear that planning my vacation would be easier than I thought it would be.

What I've come to realize is that technology is constantly evolving. Just because we've been accustomed to using a particular program for an extended period doesn't necessarily mean it's the best option. It's beneficial to step out of our comfort zones and explore new tools because these emerging AI-powered tools have the potential to simplify searching and creation processes significantly.

Designing Like a Pro with Canva

Let's talk about some of the features offered by Canva. As a user-friendly design platform, Canva gives a large selection of editing tools for whatever project. Whether creating business cards, flyers, thumbnails for videos, or developing a more visually pleasing social media presence, Canva is the tool you can use to do all of this easily.

The platform has a large library of pre-designed templates, all customizable to fit any look you want to create. There are so many editing tools in your hands that running the program for the first time can feel overwhelming. Luckily, many online resources can assist you when trying to learn new programs, such as Canva. I have added several YouTubers to my PLN network to continue my learning with editing.
